An masterful blend of rums aged between 5 and 14 years, Angostura 1919® is a true Trinidadian rum, oaky on the palate, with exotic spices, vanilla, a hint of honey and dried fruits. A super-premium sipping rum that pairs beautifully with desserts and chocolate. Perfect for classic cocktails like Rum Manhattan, Rum Old Fashioned or contemporary Rum Negroni.
There are as many ways to make the Rum Old Fashioned as there are numerous rums, sweeteners and bitters, but this version calls for Angostura 1919 rum, Demerara syrup, allspice dram and two kinds of bitters: Orange and Angostura aromatic bitters. Dark rum presents oaky notes from aging in barrels, which should appeal to whiskey drinkers,
Served with coconut ice water.
The Negroni! One of the most iconic cocktails, invented in Italy more the 100yrs ago, the original recipe call for gin, we like to use rum instead more precisely Angostura 1919, then Italian sweet red vermouth, Amaro di Angostura and Angostura Cocoa bitters. The result is a bitter sweet taste that will round it up on small oak barrels. We approximately aged the cocktails 7 to 9 weeks.
